“Skillet”

Skillet’s first release, self-titled “Skillet,” was released by Ardent and Forefront Records in 1996.

  

“Hey You, I Love Your Soul”        

            Skillet’s second album, “Hey You, I Lover Your Soul” wasn’t so much a rock album as “Skillet” but more of techno-pop sound. This record was also released by Ardent Records and Forefront Records in 1998.

 

“Invincible”

 This third album, “Invincible,” continued the techno rock sound of the previous record and this is where the current keyboardist joined, Korey Cooper. This record was released by Ardent and Forefront records.

 

“Ardent Worship”

The band’s fourth album, “Ardent Worship,” was released the same year as “Invincible,” 2000. This is their only record without any music videos. This was released by Ardent Records.

 

“Alien Youth”

The hard-hitting fifth album, “Alien Youth,” released in 2001, was more of an industrial rock version of Skillet. Ardent Records released this album.

 

“Collide”

This sixth album was at first released on November 18, 2003 with Ardent Records but the re-released by Lava Records on May 25, 2004 with a new single “Open Wounds.”

 

“Comatose”

Skillet’s seventh record, “Comatose,” was released on October 3, 2006 by Lava Records. This release was not as hard as the previous album “Collide,” but had more of an alternative sound. “Comatose also won a Grammy award for Best Rock or Rap Gospel Music.
